Merl
The upstairs apartment. A higher perch on the hill — the veranda opens to a wider arc of forest, harbour and horizon. Sunrises arrive first up here.
Discover Merl
A pair of intimate, self-catering apartments tucked into the hills above Victoria — designed for travellers who'd rather feel at home than at a hotel.
From our veranda you can trace the curve of Victoria's harbour, watch frigatebirds ride the trade winds, and lose track of the hour entirely. That, really, is the point.
Janet and Benjamin built Otantik to share a slower, more authentic side of the Seychelles — the one we fell in love with ourselves. Two apartments. Endless ocean. A welcome that feels personal because it is.
Our Story →Merl sits above Marten — identical inside, each with its own view from the veranda. Both sleep two (with an extra fold-out for a child), and both are fully equipped and freshly linened.

The ground-floor apartment. Closer to the garden and the rustle of the takamaka canopy — the view is framed by the trees, intimate and shaded.
